Obituary for
Earl Robert "Jack" Buchner
On Friday, February 17, 2017 Earl ''Jack'' Buchner passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Cold Lake Healthcare Centre at the age of 85 years. Jack is lovingly survived by his two sons: Dale Buchner (Lynda) of Fort Saskatchewan, AB, Doug Buchner (Leah) of Redcliff, AB; daughter: Cathi (Dan) Garon of Cold Lake, AB; seven grandchildren: Chase, Cole, Beau (Shawna), Cody (Shelly), Randi, Brandy (Clayton), Lindsey (Chad); eight great grandchildren: Lilly, Hanna, Austin, Wyatt, Reagan, Cadence, Ava, Aedyn. Jack was predeceased by his wife Kathleen ''Kay'' Buchner in 2016; daughter: Judy Anderson; two grandsons: Jayson Adams & Brent Adams; daughter-in-law: Laureen Buchner. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Heydenrych for taking such good care of Jack for many years and to Dr. Prinsloo and the nursing staff on 3rd Floor Acute Care at the Cold Lake Healthcare Centre for their compassion, dedication and excellent care. A Service of Remembrance was held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 211, Cold Lake, AB with Reverend Stephen Sparks officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in memory of Jack may be sent to the Salvation Army, National Processing Centre, PO Box 8200, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4W5.
