It is with profound sadness that the family of John MacKinnon announces his unexpected passing in Cold Lake at the age of 61 years. John will be forever remembered and loved by his common-law-wife of 24 years: Mary Robinson; one son: Grant MacKinnon of Cold Lake; two daughters: Robyn MacKinnon (Ben Treleaven) of Cold Lake, Melissa MacKinnon of Edmonton; three grandchildren: Dylan, Morgan, Eleonore; sister: Lynn MacKinnon of Edmonton; brother: Bruce MacKinnon of Red Deer; nieces and nephews; mother of his children: Janet (John) Hartt of Lodgepole; as well as numerous other relatives & friends.
John was predeceased by his parents: Laura & Donald MacKinnon; sister: Donna MacLeod; brother: George MacKinnon.
Service of Remembrance, Saturday May 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cold Lake Seniors' Centre, Cold Lake with Pastor Heather Hiebert officiating. Private family inurnment to take place at a later date.
