Obituary for
Norbert Paul Fontaine
It is with saddened hearts that the family of Norbert Paul Fontaine announces his passing on Saturday, June 3, 2017 in St. Paul at the age of 46 years.
Norbert is lovingly survived by his two sons: Owen & Dawson Fontaine of Glendon; mother of his children: Rhonda Vezeau; parents: Antoine & Alice Fontaine of St. Paul; sister: Nicole Fontaine (Tony Diaz) of Edmonton; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and all his work & fishing families.
Norbert was predeceased by his paternal grandparents: Jean-Paul & Helena Fontaine; maternal grandparents: Noel & Dianne Marcoux; uncle: Marcel Marcoux.
Norbert was a kind, gentle man with a warm heart for his children, family & friends. A father, son, brother, nephew, friend. In his youth he excelled in hockey, golf & fishing. Family & friends vowed he could catch a fish in a rain barrel. He so looked forward to the Walleye Trail competitions. An angler who loved his fishing family. He was dedicated to any job he held, his recent with Carillion Highway Maintenance. A hard worker who loved his work family.
Memorial Service, Monday, June 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul with Reverend Father Gérard Gauthier officiating. Final resting place, St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Paul at a later time.
Memorial tributes in memory of Norbert may be sent to a Trust Fund for his children at the Servus Credit Union, St. Paul and/or Haying in the 30’s, Cancer Support, PO Box 35, Mallaig, AB T0A 2K0.
