Obituary for
Henriette Manchur
With a deep sense of sorrow and loss our family announces the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. Henriette Manchur passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the age of 74 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her caring companion, George Swistelnicki; her three sons Kevin (Paula), Jay (Nicole), and Blaine (Danielle); her grandchildren Chloe, Nicolas, Dylan, Robyn, Leanne and Cole; and her two brothers Lawrence (Eileen) and Donald (Linda). She is fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Henri was a beloved great-grandmother to Stella Henriette, and new arrival Parx Brody.
Henri was predeceased by her husband Don, her parents Edna and Arthur Boisvert, Gerry and Jeanne her sisters, and grandson Brody.
Henri had a passion for life. She greatly enjoyed boating with her boys, baseball in the summer and curling with ‘the girls’ in the winter. She had limitless energy for gardening, always helping those who regularly turned their perennials into annuals. She also had a great love for animals, both domestic and wild (aka Leroy the seagull).
Henri touched the lives of everyone she knew and will forever be missed.
Special thanks to Dr. Botha for his compassionate care and to Estelle for always greeting Henri with a warm hug and a smile. The family would also like to thank the nurses at the Cold Lake hospital for ensuring Henri remained comfortable during her time in palliative care.
At Henri’s request there is no memorial service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lakeland Humane Society, P.O. Box 202 Cold Lake Alberta T9M 1P1.
