Reverend Mgr. Robert  Poulin
On Wednesday, January 17, 2018 Reverend Mgr. Robert Poulin passed away peacefully at the St. Therese Health Care Center in St. Paul, Alberta at the age of 88 years. Born in Beauceville, Québec in 1929, Robert Poulin was ordained a priest in 1954 to serve the Church in the Diocese of St. Paul; at the parishes of St. Paul, Therien, Cold Lake, Fort McMurray, Morinville, with service of shorter duration in other places and various duties all over the Diocese. “Mgr. Bob” also served the diocese as chancellor and vice-chancellor. Reverend Mgr. Poulin leaves to mourn two brothers: Paul-André (Marcelle) of Québec, Martin (Lise) of Québec; uncle: Father Pierre Busque of Québec; as well as other relatives and friends. Reverend Mgr. Poulin was predeceased by his parents: Théodore and Clarisse (Busque), sister: Hélène (Douglas Edwards); two brothers: Jean Luc, Marcel; sister-in-law: Danielle Dion Poulin. Reverend Mgr. Poulin will be remembered in their prayers by the priests of the Diocese of St. Paul and the faithful he served and worked with in many parishes. Prayer Vigil, Sunday, January 21, 2018, 7:30 p.m., St. Paul Cathedral with Most Reverend Paul Terrio, Bishop of St. Paul officiating. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, January 22, 2018, 2:30 p.m. at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul, Alberta with Most Reverend Paul Terrio, Bishop of St. Paul as celebrant. Final resting place, St. Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Paul, Alberta. If desired, donations can be made to: “The St. Paul Priests’ Mutual Aid Society”.


Mgr. Robert Poulin

Le mercredi 17 janvier 2018, Mgr. Robert est décédé à l’hôpital “St. Therese Health Care Center” de St. Paul à l’âge de 88 ans.
Mgr. Robert Poulin, né en 1929 à Beauceville, QC, a vécu tout son ministère dans le Diocèse de Saint Paul depuis 1954 jusqu’à 2007, date de sa retraite à Saint Paul.
Il laisse dans le deuil ses deux frères, Paul-André (Marcelle) de Laval, QC, et Martin (Lise) de Québec; un oncle: le Père Pierre Busque, s.v. de Québec, et de bons amis en France.
L’ont précédé dans l’au-delà ses parents, Théodore et Clarisse (Busque); une soeur, Hélène Edwards (et son mari, Douglas;), deux frères: Jean Luc (et son épouse Carmen) et Marcel, une belle soeur, Danielle Dion Poulin.
Les confrères prêtres du Diocèse et les nombreux fidèles avec qui il a travaillé en paroisse et au Diocèse se souviendront aussi de lui et prieront pour lui.
La vigile de prière aura lieu le dimanche 21 janvier 2018 à 19h30 à la Cathédrale de Saint Paul. La célébration de la Résurrection aura lieu le lundi 22 janvier 2018 à 14h30 à la Cathédrale de Saint Paul.
