As communities around the world begin to lift measures related to Coronavirus (COVID-19) we want to keep you updated with what is happening in the funeral industry following the guidelines of our Government and Association.
At Memento Funeral Chapel we will continue to welcome anyone into our facility by appointment only, this includes making funeral arrangements (1-2 people). However, if you have been out of the country or do not feel well we ask that you refrain from coming in and call us instead. We will make every effort to accommodate your needs by phone and/or email.
Following Alberta's newly lifted public health orders we will refrain from an indoor gathering/funeral service of more than 20 people with social distancing measures in effect of the choosen venue.
There will be no social gathering, such as luncheons at this time.
That is why we are here, to help you navigate through all your options and find what works best for your family.
As to respect the grieving needs of our client families we will continue to encourage funerals for family members and guests which can also be held within this limit. Other options would be to have different visitation times for different people with capacity restrictions or to host a outdoor graveside service.
Showing your compassion to a family member or friend is even more important than before. Therefore, as always, you are more than welcome to express your sympathy online through our website, Facebook page or email if you are not comfortable attending the funeral.
Through this difficult time we want to thank you in advance for your understanding and especially to the front-line healthcare workers who continue to put our health needs before theirs.
