St. Dominic Cemetery Society

In 1989 Father Mattias Lugowski, with the Parish Pastoral Council, established a fundraiser for the upkeep of the cemetery. In recognition of a $200 donation, a loved one's name interred in the cemetery is added to a plaque which is displayed in a kiosk in the cemetery. An income tax receipt is also given. All are welcome to donate, however, only names of  those eligible to be buried in a Catholic Cemetery can be added to the plaque. This has continued to be the main fundraiser for the Cemetery Society. These funds are used to continue upgrading, beautifying, enhancing, and maintaining the cemetery.

A space has also been created in the St. Dominic Cemetery where a plaque can be put in memory of someone who was once a member of St. Dominic Parish, but is buried elsewhere, or for a Catholic family member. The cost for this plaque is $200. Again, plaques can only be for persons eligible to be buried in a Catholic cemetery. Authorization must be obtained from the St. Dominic parish priest as for any other burial.
